Coalport 1795-1926 April 2006 - Out of Print This new study of the Coalport factory and its porcelains provides the most comprehensive view yet published of John Rose and Company throughout the various periods of its eventful history. The history of the Company is supported by a careful consideration of the porcelains themselves, drawing upon the evidence of the surviving pattern books and extensive source material, both published and original. Almost four hundred black and white illustrations and forty-five colour plates have been chosen to assist in a further understanding of the styles and shapes used at Coalport and the photographs (mainly profiles) have been taken from angles which will aid the identification of Coalport porcelains. Important pieces are identified and illustrated for the first time, such as pieces from the first recorded dessert service to have been produced at Coalport.
