Sabatier Stainless Steel Traditional French Pattern Knives

Thiers-Issard have been hand-crafting knives in Thiers France, under the Sabatier brand with the **** Elephant logo, since 1884. Forged out of a single blank of steel, Thiers-Issard Sabatier knives, with their full tang, provide the perfect balance and alignment for comfortable use all day long. Sabatier Elephant logo Stainless Steel knives provide the quality and accuracy French chefs demand, while remaining bright, easy to clean and maintain. These knives are available with two handles, a red stamina handle, which is an epoxy impregnated wood that simulates rosewood and solid olive wood. The red stamina handles are more water resistant and require less care than the olive wood handles, but it would be hard to imagine a more beautiful traditional handle than the olive wood ones. The olive wood handles should be rubbed with olive oil occasionally to keep them looking their best. Never leave the wood handles submerged in water and allow to air dry after being hand washed.

Please Note: Several companies share the right to use the Sabatier name. Only Thiers-Issard uses the elephant logo and this distinguishes the French made Sabatier knives which we sell.
