Destroyit Paper Shredders

With all the talk these days of stolen identities and the like, more and more people are using home and small office shredders to shred sensitive documents. The "Big Box" office stores are full of small Asian made shredders. Our own experience here at The Best Things offices has been that these shredders don't hold up at all. That is how we got started researching shredders. What we found is that one company, MBM or Michael Business Machines, is making high grade shredders in Germany that retail for an affordable price. MBM shredders are relabled under a few different brand names, but they are all made in the same factory. The MBM Destroyit line of shredders is designed for home or small office use. What makes these shredders small office shredders is not their longevity, all MBM shredders are built to last, but their capacity. For applications where the machine is shared by many people, a higher capacity shredder should be purchased.

All of the MBM shredder models we sell are made in both strip-cut and cross-cut versions. A strip-cut shredder cuts the paper into strips the length of the paper. A cross-cut shredder basically cuts the paper into confetti. For most situations, a strip cut shredder should offer more than adequate security, however, we have found that in today's paranoid world, most people want a cross-cut shredder. The trade-off is that that a cross-cut shredder is more expensive for the same model and has a lower paper capacity because of the greater load on the motor of cutting the paper into small pieces.
