Sweden has been known for its fine glass objects since the 18th Century when the great Swedish glass factories like Orrefors and Kosta Boda were founded. In the 20th Century, glass was second only to ceramics as a medium of expression for the great Swedish designers that pioneered the Swedish modern design movement.
Here you will see offered glass objects from Sweden's great glass factories, with a particular emphasis on the classic designs of the 1950s. Our Scandinavian design expert, Jenny Richmond, carefully selects each piece that we offer to make sure that is a good example of its type.
