To complement our selection of antiques and fine woodworking tools, The Best Things offers carefully selected books & videos on related topics. We are not a bookstore and we are not trying to compete with Amazon. Instead, we offer a limited selection of carefully vetted books and videos. While our prices should be competitive with anywhere, we hope our customers are attracted more by our careful screening, which prevents you wasting money on a mediocre book. To be offered here, a book must be of significant merit. Each book is introduced with a review written by us, that candidly describes the book's limitations, as well as its strong points. If a book is flawed, but still contains important information not otherwise available, we will offer it with that caveat. Many of these books are museum catalogs, produced with grant money, and not readily available in bookshops. None of the books here are schlock books targeted at the casual reader.
