Few books on American furniture are considered as important as this one. Not only is the Mabel Brady Garvan collection at Yale University Art Gallery one of the most important American furniture collections ever assembled, this book is also one of the best museum catalogs of furniture ever written. While there are not many interior construction detail type photos, the furniture pictured is esquisite, and the photos are superb. The close up details will be invaluable to craftspeople. This book is in my top 3 favorite furniture books.
